Magical day …

Today is another magical day in the Stampin’ Up! world!

As savings and deals mesh on a transition day (read this for more information on that topic), I would like to introduce the longer list of weekly deals and the extra savings from the clearance rack.

I would also like to introduce the Banner Triple Punch. It’s pretty rad … do they use that word anymore? Oh well, it is. 😉 I just got mine 2 weeks ago and love that I can use it to create three banners with one punch. It also saves on storage space in the craft room!

The Banner Triple Punch gives you triple the banner options in one punch. You can make banners in three widths–1″, 1-1/2″, and 2″–in any length. Just slide the paper in, punch, and get perfectly notched banners (or gift tags, bookmarks, belly bands) every time.

Happy Stamping!

Deals are a comin …

Get ready, because June 30-August 3, Stampin’ Up! is adding more items to the Clearance Rack and to Weekly Deals. This is your chance to save up to 30% on even more Weekly Deals, or up to 60% on extra items in the Clearance Rack (while supplies last). You’ll want to hurry, because Weekly Deals discounts will be available in limited quantities before the items return to retail prices.

If you want to double up on the savings, June 30th is a magical day! Several discounts and incentives converge into one … if you join my team on June 30th, you will receive 2 free stamp sets, the demonstrator discount on top of the weekly deals and clearance rack. That’s a pretty awesome deal!

New demonstrators also get a 10% discount on your first qualifying order … this is discontinuing starting July 1st, so hurry!

Happy Stamping!

Sparkles, stars and savings.

I LOVE the 4th of July!

The warmer weather, picnics, picking crabs, friends, fireworks and the birth of our nation…what’s not to love?

July is quickly approaching and for our demonstrator meeting we do a card swap. This is very similar to the card I have prepped for trading. You didn’t think I would show you the actual card did you? I have to keep it a surprise until the meeting. 😉

Have you ever seen such a versatile stamp set? There is so many different options with the Sprinkles of Life stamps!

Notice the Lucky Stars embossing folder imprint on the card? It’s one of this week’s Weekly Deals … just in time for the 4th of July!

Speaking of the holiday, I had the opportunity to test out a technique I learned in photography class. My sister, Hannah and brother’s girlfriend, Mary assisted me with the sparklers. 🙂

Do you like how they turned out? Pretty cool, right!?

I have a friend who owns his own photography business, he shot images like these and had the subject make words and shapes … facinating! Since then, I’ve been excited to experiment with my camera. These are not PhotoShopped, it’s actually the subject writing in the air while the camera takes the image.

What do you see?

Star

Tulip

Hannah’s name!

Hannah’s impression of Saturn and stars.

Now that I’ve figured out the basic process, I can work on this technique a little more before July 4th.

"Owl" love you …

Another perk of sharing so much craft space with others is that we get to see different ideas for card making and layouts.

Designed by Jen Goad

Jen was pumped about using the Owl Builder Punch on this anniversary card. Aren’t the colors beautiful? The two of them just look so cozy sitting side-by-side on that branch.

The sheltering tree photopolymer stamp set can be used in so many ways. I love how photopolymer stamps allow you to see through them to line up multiple layers. Jen decided to alter her Father’s Day cards slightly to create different scenes. My favorite is the one in the middle … look closely and you can see faded trees in the background almost like it was a foggy day.

She used the “double stamp” technique (or at least that’s what I call it). 😉 Ink your stamp and place it on your card, then don’t ink again, just press on your card again to created a “faded” look.

Thank you Jen for sharing your cards with all of us!

We’re nuts … and Happy Father’s Day!

After a more than usually fun night (involving a Pampered Chef chopper and a basement), I thought this photo would suit nicely. My friend Carmen and I saw the Planter Peanut mobile on our way back from the store yesterday. So neat!

So here’s the rest of the layouts from our retreat group:

This one is perfect for my Lake Geneva trip photos. Jen did a fabulous job with designing this layout!

Friends and fun described this retreat to a T. Andi must of had fun, too since she has already filled up her page she designed.

Oh and yeah, some of us even had time to make cards. Check in later for a few examples.

Happy Father’s Day to my hubby, my dad and father-in-law … all for setting a good example of how a father should care.

An organized mess …

Weekends are so much more fun when scrapping is involved. This is my area, looks messy? Yes, but I’m getting a ton completed. Little man’s baby book is starting to come together nicely!

Sorry, I know I promised to show you creations earlier when I posted yesterday, but sometimes the crafty-excitement just carries me away. 😉

Each of us designed a scrapbook layout and provided enough to share with the rest of the group. Here’s mine below:

I needed a birthday layout to add to little man’s album so I thought I’d take the opportunity to use the Sprinkles of Life stamp set again. After all, it did help RMHC when I purchased it!

Cathy, our retreat hostess provided this layout in honor of “friends” … how suiting, right? I think I will fill it with retreat photos.

The weekend’s discussion topics get pretty crazy from time to time. A lot of chit-chat revolves around our kids and “furry kids” so this layout is quite nice for my Duncan dog. Shawny did a great job designing it and got to use her new Cricut Explore to cut out all of the pet names.

I quickly placed some photos in it of little man and his favorite friend Duncan.

Ten points if you can tell me who’s foot?!
As you can tell, we enjoy ourselves and the comfort level ramps up … quack, quack!

Check back in later for more layouts and fun!

Over the river … ah em, lake …

I’m so excited, this weekend is going to be full of friends and crafting fun!
A crafting retreat or other words stamp camp, is a good opportunity to get together with friends or customers.
However, the fun cannot begin until you reach your destination and little hick ups in the road such as the one I’m sitting in now, get in the way.
As soon as we begin rolling again I can share with you my weekend and all of the activities we have in store.

Summer savings!

I know summer is in full swing in some areas of the country, today is a nice day here in Wisconsin. Little man have already been out for a stroll and kids are playing in sprinklers and practicing baseball at the park.

I’m just glad it no longer looks like this cold day outside and the sun is shining! Little man is happy about it, too!

Some of you may not have much time to stamp with all of the activities happening around you, but it’s never a bad time to catch a great deal.

I’ve done the leg-work for you … the newest weekly deals are up today.

Now, get outside and play! Save the crafting for the afternoon when you want that time to yourself. 😉

Strawberries go with …

What better to go with ice cream than a batch of strawberries? Yumm! I’ve been seeing signs of the nearby strawberry festival being advertised around town. It made me think of our Market Fresh Designer Series Paper and all of the supplies that go with it. It’s also a funny thing that Stampin’ Up!’s website today has a strawberry card featured. Great minds think alike, I guess! 😉

Copyright Stampin’ Up!

I just ordered the embossing folder they used “brick wall” to use in so many of my layouts and cards. I can foresee myself using this in holiday (Christmas) cards, too!

Hummm…now to go grab the leftover Sassy Cow ice cream!

Ice cream sundaes for June is Dairy Month!

We had a pretty good turnout for ice cream sundae cards in honor of June is Dairy Month today!

Everyone enjoyed making these cards and meeting new people. What a nice day to be able to spend some time with friends and share this awesome stamp set, Sprinkles of Life. Each stamp set purchased contributes to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Designed by Andrea Haines/Copyright Stampin’ Up!

You could surely tell there were some serious crafty people here today by the looks of our table at completion.

As promised, the delicious Sassy Cow ice cream was a special treat for all who attended, too. 🙂 Our cards looked almost good enough to eat, so we dove into the frozen treat pretty fast.

Oh boy, I bet this card would make a wonderful Father’s Day gift for my father-in-law. He enjoys sharing a bowl of ice cream before bedtime with little man when we come to visit. They really enjoy their dairy products, yum!

Cards-to-go option is still available for ordering. Contact me for details!
